The Great Abyss…

Category: Uncategorized

All the work my family is having to do to get ready to move to Honduras full time in just over 2 months got me thinking. I don’t know if you ever feel this way, but sometimes I feel like I am just hanging out there suspended over some great abyss wondering what I am I going to do to get out of this situation. I crack myself up though as I write this, because not one time has God truly left me hanging. I mean I am hanging on something right…a rope. It is so easy to get caught up in the circumstances that we forget someone is on the other end of the rope and in this circumstance I am referring to God (the great belayer). In rock climbing we rely on the person belaying us and in fact you are trusting them with your life! When I am rock climbing with my friend Nat, I have to call out to him when I need help because he is holding on to the end of the rope (belaying me). Let’s not forget to call out to God (the great belayer) when we need help climbing the wall of life!

I hope you have a great day! -Daniel Kent
